If you can buy natural honey. no preservatives added then put a layer of that on your face as honey is antibacterial and a natural exfoliant. I often just use it on spots and it also seems to brighten my complexsion. i find it better then the stuff you buy. plus its not as harsh on your skin.

You can also try ten o six clay mud mask. i think thats great and not expensive. Also weird as it sounds to moisturise. using a mask to really hydrate your skin put a think layer of avacado on. wierd but it helps.

One that really works from my experience is zenmed’s anti-redness mask. This all natural product is exclusively designed to soothe redness, irritation and swelling associated with acne.

I LOVE Aveda’s Tourmaline Charged Radiance Masque. It makes your skin glow and feel lovely. It’s fairly expensive (I think it’s around $35) but it seriously lasts for like two yrs because all you need is a teeny tiny amount.

I also love making my own masks. Twice a week I mix Manuka honey (you can find it at Whole Foods, Trader Joes or any health food store) with sugar and put it on my face for like 20 minutes or so & then rinse it off w warm water. Your face feels heavenly afterwards. Honey is one of nature’s best antiseptics, so it’s really good for keeping your face clear, and mixed it w the sugar it makes an awesome exfoliater. Just don’t scrub too hard and it shouldn’t irritate your skin. Another tip: tuck a paper towel into the top of your shirt so it doesn’t drip all over you! Manuka honey from New Zealand is the very best for you, but other honey will work, too.

Avocados are all also really “nutritious” for the skin & is awesome for dry, sensitive skin. Smash it up and leave it on your face for like 10 minutes or so.

Whenever my face is puffy or lackluster I make a mask out of the coffee grinds (let them cool down 1st) & an egg white. You totally look like a freaky grizzly bear when you have it on your face, but it’s soooo worth it! Caffeine is really good for helping w inflammation & the proteins in the egg white are AWESOME for your skin. Once again, be sure to tuck a paper towel into the top of your shirt & then make a beeline to a towel on the floor or else you’ll end up w a huge mess on yourself & the floor.

I’m 16 & have literally had one zit in my entire life. I think it’s because I drink a ton of water, use only Cetaphil (super mild cleanser you can buy at CVS, RiteAid and the like) to wash my face, wear Cetaphil moisturizer every night & spf every day & exfoliate every week. My friends who’ve tried Proactiv & all that harsh stuff have had waaay more problems.

    Good luck!!!! : )
